8 Hour Sportfishing Charter

The full day charter is 8 hours in length. This is by far our most productive trip and per hour is the most cost-effective. It gives you the option to live bait, dead bait, and troll. We typically cover up to 100 miles of fertile deep sea ledges on a full day trip fishing for blue marlin, stripe marlin, short-billed spearfish, yellowfin tuna, and ono (wahoo).  We can also fish several different FADs (Fishing Aggregate Devices) as opposed to just one. The FAD’s will often have tunas, mahi mahis, and marlin.  I have seen this make a huge difference on more than one occasion.

6 Hour Sportfishing Charter

The ¾ day charter is 6 hours in length.  Typical departure time is 7AM.  This is the perfect compromise between a 4 hour trip and a 8 hour trip.  Because we are able to start fishing right away, 6 hour trips can be very productive depending on the time of year. It is not uncommon to catch blue marlin, stripe marlin, spearfish, mahi mahi, and ono (wahoo).  The extra 2 hours gives us the ability to reach more FADs (Fish Aggregate Devices) that at times host an abundance of marine life such as ahi (tuna), mahi mahi, and billfish. It also gives us time to live bait.

4 Hour Sportfishing Charter

Half day charters are 4 hours in length.  Typical departure times are 7AM (morning half) or 1PM (afternoon half).  Because of our unique fishing venue in Kona, Hawaii was are able to start fishing within 5 minutes of leaving Honokohau Harbor.  Half days are perfect for keikis (children) or those with busy schedules.  There are times of the year when a 4 hour trip is more than enough to give you an opportunity to catch the fish of a lifetime.  We will always give you an honest, real-time assessment of what the fishery is providing at the time of your charter.
